Here they are — my Guitar Heroes.

Lately, I’m lucky if I’ve got time to shower.
I’ve added much to my schedule – and feel like I’m going like a maniac all the time and getting very little done! Gotta get more organized or something.Â
Pop and I went out to JP’s for dinner and a few beers. It’s probably my favorite place to go, weather permitting. Actually, a new Mexican restaurant has re-opened in town after being closed for a very long time. There was a fire in the place and they went far beyond simply repairing/replacing what was damaged. I’m told it’s a showplace inside – certainly the outside is impressive, and we were thinking about going there. But it was such a lovely evening, warm but not stinking hot and NO HUMIDITY!!  It was so nice that I thought I had been magically transported to another state. I mean, it damn sure didn’t feel like “Delaware – The Land of the 3 H’s (Hot, Hazy and Humid)” As we were going out the door, and I realized how fleetingly wonderful the weather was, I looked at Pop and said, “Let’s go down to JP’s and then walk by the water.”

Straight out from here would be the southern tip of New Jersey, then further, uh, Europe. It was wonderful just sitting in the sun, watching the tide go out, boats coming in.
First things first……

Two ice cold Coors Lights!!! Then they brought on the fried shrimp – and I can put a real hurting on their shrimp supply!
We saw the local avian population – in this small community, there are more of them than humans.

These are sea gulls. They do 2 things. They sit on pilings. They shit on cars, usually aiming for the glass. Here they are sitting on pilings, waiting for the urge.

I have no idea why I love this stupid plastic palm tree that is about 2 buildings down from the restaurant. RED!! It’s idiotic, and crazy that I almost always take a picture of it!!
OK – here’s the contest:
Who can tell me what is pictured here?  Post your guess in the comments.

Probably have more pictures to post, but I’m going to go sit on my, uh, couch.

Yes, indeedy, the mailman is the second man in my life worrying about a hernia.
Knit Picks had a book sale. I can read. I have a Visa card. These facts are related. Well, I figure I’m gonna buy them anyway, and I’d hate like hell to pay full price a week before the sale started!!!  See how much money I saved, dear? Never mind about how much it cost to save it.
I’m ashamed to admit that my Elizabeth Zimmermann collection was not complete. How can I even hold my head up, or my needles?  I was able to increase my book stash and save money, dear by ordering Knitting Workshop and Knitter’s Almanac. I still don’t have them all, but I’m closer.

And for all the fingering and lace weight yarn I’m buying, this one caught my eye:

I’ll give my opinions after I’ve had time to read through it and study the ones I’m interested in. And another kind of knitting I’ve always been interested in …

So I’ve got some reading and planning and dreaming to do!
And some lace weight fell into the box, too.

This one is more deep reds – my colorway.
And one more – just cause it was so pretty!!
Â

So — I’ve got my work cut out for me. I’m going over to a more comfortable chair and read some.
