Sunday’s walk in the woods
I got some chores done today. Some necessary stuff that really had to be done. Like laundry. And dinner preparations.
And then, I wanted to have a day that would just make me feel good!
First, I spent almost 2 hours on the phone with my oldest son. And yeah, that made me feel good.
And then I went to Killen’s Pond State Park and just walked around. Through the woods, by the pond, checked out the autumn colors.Â

It was great to just be out in the sun on a beautiful day. I needed a bit of a jacket, but after I got walking at a good pace, I probably could have taken it off and tied the sleeves around my waist!Â

I could have just sat here and looked at the water, for like maybe 3 to 8 weeks – except that in 8 weeks, there’ll probably be snow in the woods and it’ll be damn cold out there.

These caught my eye, and I don’t know what they are!  The red was so bright, and they were so tiny, the size of baby peas. And hundreds of them. And why have I never seen them before.

What a nice place to spend an afternoon.  They put a bench right here, took the shot while sitting down. Wasn’t that thoughtful of somebody?
